To: All LGI owners, property managers, contractors and renters.
During an emergency meeting of the Charlotte County Commission on 5 April 2022 it was decided with a 5 – 0 vote for a full outdoor burn ban.
This will cover ALL outdoor burning to include recreational fires/ fire pits, barrels, holes or on ground burning. BBQ grills do not fall under this ban.
This will remain in effect until sufficient rainfall has occurred and the BOCC meet and vote to lift the burn ban.
A question asked during a burn ban is, Can I burn when it is raining/rained during the night? The answer has been and will remain NO.
