A Message from Little Gasparilla Island Fire and Rescue, President, Judy McCoy:
LGIFR is holding Board elections this year for representatives from Districts 1, 3, and 5. Board terms are for four years. Candidates who submitted their names by the October 26 deadline are:
For District 1:
Phyllis NeSmith
Bob Weronik
For District 3:
Andy Hagelin
Wayne Snell
For District 5:
Paul Holmes
Ballots will be sent by first-class mail to all LGI property owners by November 10. Each LGI property parcel will receive one ballot, and the parcel owner may vote for one candidate for each of the three open district seats. Ballots will be counted at the December 5th Annual Meeting.
LGIFR has requested short statements from each candidate, letting islanders know who they are and why they would like to serve on the Board. These statements will be posted on LGIFR’s website and Facebook page, and will be emailed to LGIFR members.
